There is no point in checking the score of the game at halftime since many times the team who is leading ends up losing the game anyway....
Sure a verbal commit isn’t binding and is fluid, but there is a reason coaches ask for it, it’s a very positive sign and highly correlated with signing. And recruiting is the life blood of a program. I don’t get fans who say they care about the team but don’t care about recruiting. It’s like caring about the NBA or NFL but not following the draft, it means you don’t really care about your team and aren’t educated or engaged.
Plus those sites have tons of great content about your team including things like transfers, practice reports and analysis, and more. For me, during spring and fall camp they are like crack. I love reading practice reports to see which players stand out. Best investment I’ve ever made; it provides me with hours of content a week which is much more informative than the Dnews or trib.
