They have a pretty decent football tradition, is one of the premier technical univerisites in the country (I mean there is Cal Tech, MIT and Georgia Tech in about that order) and won the National Championship in Football in 1990. Oh I know it was shared with Colorado, but some of us never fet comfortible voting CU have seen them win one critical game with FIVE downs to make a TD without a 1st Down. Syracuse stinks right now, but they have a pretty long standing history in the game as does MSU and CAL is probably going to win at least 98 games this year so I'de be careful with the "horrible" talk.
