The defender flat out said he committed PI ON PURPOSE to prevent a TD.
That’s the equivalent of a dude driving the lane in basketball for a go ahead bucket, and a defender grabs the ball handler and throws him to the ground to send the guy to the free throw line, only the refs swallow their whistle and the defense steals the ball.
