Costa Rica has some great adventure activities like a treetop bridge tour of the rainforest, zip line tour, river rafting in tubes, natural hot springs, etc. We split up our Costa Rica trip between the Rainforest near the Arenal Volcano and then stayed at the Westin Playa Conchal on the beach. For Punta Cana, we stayed at the Hard Rock resort and just relaxed at the pools and the beach. So it just depends on what you want to do. If you just want to chill, then I’d say Punta Cana. If you want some fun adventures/excursions, then I’d say Costa Rica.
