I've said the same thing since Saturday, Anae...
...though showing great promise and some games brilliance, has not let the players win the game in tight cirucmstances by calling good plays. We can talk about 3rd and 1 all we want, but it goes deeper than that. I think that that attitude of, "All right, let's hope this play works" is a less powerful, watered-down version of "They know it's coming, but can they stop it? No!" I think that that confidence has infected many BYU offensive players' minds, IMHO. Bronco's "us against the world" mentality has obviously brushed off on the defense, thus their playing with moxy and hard-hitting, giving the O the chance to win the games. I just wonder if Anae is willing to let his best players win the game by calling something different, depending on their talent and not the scheme, and daring the other team to attack us in a certain way because we'll make them pay in a different way. Anyway, I agree, I think Anae, though he called a decent game, deflated the offense at many crucial times with his play-calling. Here's to winning 10 straight! MWC OCC and LVBW!!!
