riding the subway with oyster cards is cheap and easy. We did that. Must sees
for us were musicals ... check out deals for students. With her student ID you can get $25 tickets to many shows for her and you by going to the box office the day of the show. We did that for Wicked and In the Heights. Mousetrap is a classic (longest running play ever ... agatha christie mystery). Hamilton is cheaper in West End than in America but you need tix ahead of time. Matilda was awesome too.

Tower of London is really good ... do that and make sure to do the Beefeater tour, that's a must. Eat lunch at the international food truck roundup around the corner.

Also, eating lunch at the Borough or one of the other markets is really fun and yummy---lots of international options.

Do evensong at Westminster or St. Paul's (I like St. Paul's) to see the cathedral for free and to enjoy a nice, reverent service.

The British Museum is great if you like museums, but that's all it is ... a big history museum. The Rosetta Stone is cool to see, and I liked the clock exhibit up by the medieval/renaissance section. I actually liked the National Art museum by Trafalgar Square better, but that's just preference.

Getting tea for your family at something like Patisserie Valerie is fun. They'll let you do hot chocolate instead and bring out different sandwiches and pastries.

Only being there 2 days means you'll be jet-lagged. So try not to overdo it. Honestly, what I'd do is catch a musical, walk around the downtown area taking in the architecture by the Palace/Westminster/Big Ben/Bridges and see Tower of London and then eat yummy food and buy European Chocolate at the grocery store.
