I did watch Max lose one clutch game - though mostly a defense issue. He lost in double overtime to Hamilton in his Senior year state championship game. The running back was reaching to cross the goal line on fourth down and missed by less than a yard. It was a heart breaker for Toro fans. 

They had a kid on that team that should have been a star at BYU - Drew Mugleston. But his dad died that year and I think suddenly football was less important to him.
