after 2 strikes. It’s been part of the strategy that pitchers have used for over 100 years. It might be out of the strike zone but it the pitcher is up 0-2 they get to add pressure because the umpire can call a close one a strike. The batter has added pressure because he can’t afford for the human umpire to make even a slight mistake. The solution, he better swing at and at least foul off anything close.
If you take that away and make balls and strikes perfect you drastically affect that element. To me that and many other human elements on the umpire side are part of the game and history of baseball.
