A guy who doesn't play defense won't get "dunked on" and I can't imagine why a guy would choose to not play defense unless he is in foul trouble.
Your bit about potatoes is nonsensical to me and I also can't imagine why you would suggest the Utah Jazz have any influence on my opinion. I think a guy should play defense. That Hayward was "dunked on" is more admirable to me than if he had ducked away from the hoop to allow an easy basket.
