This year. He knows if the warriors lost tonight he wouldn't be available for a game seven and anything can happen. Now he can come back during the next series and still get a title. That is my thought.

I think he does like his teammates so he'd be genuinely happy anyways, but the fact he can come back this postseason makes it a joyous win as well.
