Even worse he talks to them telepathically so it’s not like we’d hear it when he talked to fish. It would literally be just him either standing on land or swimming in the water doing nothing except pointing to his temple so we knew he was talking to fish. For crying out loud, at least have the guy make some dolphin sounds or something.

So, as dumb as some of the things were, it over achieved because had that stuff been left out we would have been left with the true Aquaman storyline which is super dumb. He’s the worst, it’s like they decided to address the ocean so they created a character but stopped the character development after the first item on the list.

Hey! We need to go to production now!! We need another character for Super Friends/Justice League. How bout this guy, he can talk fish. OK, what else does he do? He just talks to fish. Really? OK whatever, we are out of time, nobody will notice him anyway, we have Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman, let’s throw him in the mix.
