hardwood floors, the options were to sweep up crumbs every single day or live with a dirty floor. Now we just wake up every morning with clean floors. Another added bonus is that we’re motivated every night before bed to tidy up anything on the ground that might get in the way.

I just bought the cheapest option I could find—a $100 vacuum that was available on a limited time sale on woot.com. It doesn’t have any of the bells and whistles but it runs on schedule each night and picks up a lot of stuff each week. Presumably anything you buy for more than that would be even more effective than mine.
