First, Morrison has a great voice, Jopplin too. But yes, if I find the singers voice anoying it ruins the song for me.
One example is AC-DC. I like the hard hitting music fine but can't stand the singers vocals so I'm not a big fan of AC-DC and find them overrated, really I guess I find the lead singer to be overrated.
