Rays were already eating $5M of his $20M salary.
Let’s assume he had about $12M left on the year. Rays picking up ~2.5 left. Down to $9.5. So Mariners May be picking up about $4.75 M if it’s an even split.
And Yanks will probably be on the hook for the $5M buyout next year.
