Now, I worked on FD so I wasn't around most of the day, anyway. But I didn't say anything.

About a week later something must have clicked in her head. She asked me what the date was, then you could see her connecting the dots in her head. Her eyes got real wide. She swore under her breath, kind of freaked out, and left the room to go talk to my oldest daughter. A few minutes later, still freaking out, she came back and started to apologize and asked me why I didn't say anything. I told her it was because it wasn't a big deal but in reality I knew I had a big one in case I needed a get out of jail free card in the future.

Every once in a while when she decides to give me crap about something, I'll unholster (probably not a word) that bad boy.
