I took a different course and bought an ultra short throw projector from LG

It's not perfect for well lit areas but in my basement it's absolutely bonkers big like the entire wall and no wiring overhead.

It will be fine for sports. I bought a Samsung 4K UHD two years ago with the same refresh rate and I haven't noticed

You'll have to watch sports to find out. Some people don't see it. Sometimes it drives people crazy.
