doing game nights with friends for about a year, so I didn’t expect her home or anything. But she didn’t come home at all that night. By the next morning I was completely freaking out. Always before when she was going to not come home all night she had let me know.

Finally around 10 AM, she showed up. She was wearing men’s jeans and a T-shirt that wasn’t hers. Her hair was a complete mess.

She told me she had been at game night and had left early to drive home. She saw a bright light outside the car before she got in and then lost consciousness. When she woke up, it was morning and she was in front of a house she had never been to.

She called an Uber and came home. She had no idea why they had taken her clothes or where she had gotten the jeans and t shirt.

I was concerned that I didn’t fully understand her story, because I still didn’t speak Ukrainian that great and we had always had some trouble communicating so I checked the story. The Uber receipt showed she really had taken the Uber from some random house a few blocks from game night.

Her car was still parked in front of the game night house. Her keys were in the car.

I understand that others don’t believe, but I know they are here. Yely was living proof of it. I have always wondered if part of the reason she died young was because of what happened to her that night.
