Coaches looking for more RB’s doesn’t mean that Katoa isn’t good enough to be an every down back. It just means we didn’t have depth. How many RB’s does Alabama play? They played 3 or 4 pretty consistently all year. BYU will do the same, and it’s not because they can’t find one guy who can do it all. Rotating three guys keeps them all fresh.

I get your point, other players are out practicing too. But to say “BYU went and got more guys, that means the one we have couldn’t be an every down back.” That’s not a very good argument.
