Swelling and feeling warm are probably just local reaction to the sting.
You are correct in being worried about the possibility of infection. Keep an eye on the sting site and go see a doctor if the skin turns really red or becomes hard or stiff, or if it drains any pus at all. Or if she starts having fevers or otherwise feeling ill.

Most bites and stings from bees, insects, and spiders, etc. don't become infected, but it is definitely possible.
