And Hans is right: Rice's offensive line is pathetic. Their o-line is so high in their two point stances and Houston got leverage on almost every play. Their footwork was so bad they ended up missing many blocks and ended up on their face. They were worried about Ed Oliver so much they double and triple teamed him and left good Dlinemen open to make plays.

So its hard to say Esukpa is a good or average runner because of that. So often he would get the hand off and there was already a d-lineman in the backfield. Yet he still had a 4.8 average in that game (mostly because of breaking off a long run for 52 yards in all fairness).

Bottom line for me is if BYU improves the offensive line from last year, our running game will be effective enough to give a balanced offense and give Wilson time to make good in a lot of play action pass plays.
