The reason this suspension hurts so bad is because BYU is playing in the premiere preseason tournament in CBB. And Jay is part of the crew every year broadcasting the games. If BYU were playing a bunch of fluff to start the season then the suspension wouldn't be nearly as big of a deal. Considering his position as a national commentator, it would've been interesting to hear his thoughts on how this impacts BYU in their matchup vs UCLA in Maui, and how Yoeli's absence impacts how he views them finishing in that tournament.
