Would be interesting to see if those numbers changed

If you only included non-P5 programs who were in I-A when they first split from I-AA. In other words, I wonder how much of the dropoff has been the watering down of the non-P5 leagues due to adding teams to FBS that don't really have any business being there.

That certainly could be part of the picture, but BYU has the best P5 record since 1972

Stayed at 0.191 since about the start of the BCS era. That is interesting.
