In that price range, the Boxster/Cayman is one of the funnest cars to drive
If you put a knife to the throat of someone knowledgeable about Porsche, they will tell you that the Boxster/Cayman handles better and is more fun to drive than the 911. The mid-engine layout is much more stable in corners than the rear-engine 911.

I have a 2005 Boxster and it is an absolute blast to drive. I do like the looks of the 911 better, a little more classic, but for true road enjoyment, it's hard to beat the Boxster.
