Because the crispy lacks kick and the original is a soggy mess
It'll do in a pinch if I can't get bone in chicken from Popeye's.
Also, I don't know if it's a regional or just a me thing, but for me, the term "fried chicken" is bone-in. Anything else is a tender, patty, or a nugget. 🤷♂️
