No. The cord is proprietary. The wall plug is not but
USB-c is not as cheap a wall plug as USB-a.

Did Apple change their cords again so we can all buy new ones? That was cool

They've put USB-c on a few of the newer devices but still support lightning on others.

I'm an Apple user, but that bugs.

I think it is the right move. Lightning accomplished what the market needed but USB couldn't do yet.

It's the right move, but my complaint is that it feels like Apple is always in

The 30 pin lasted 9 years, lightning is still in use 7 years later, USB-C is recent but industry standard.

I want them to. Patiently waiting for USB-C to charge my phone, iPad, and MacBook.

Not an apple user, but can't we all agree that one cord type (USB-C) should be used for all devices?

The lightning side is the same. The USB side is only different on one phone.

It’s sort of surprising that they’ve moved anything to USB-C, isn’t it?

It's so much better that they have to if they're going to call it a MacBook Pro

Really odd that they don't just include fast charging on all models.

It’s not odd when they own the rights to making the usb-c to lightning cord.

Do you need to buy a proprietary charger now? Why not buy one on Amazon?

No. The cord is proprietary. The wall plug is not but

Which brings up a thought. Hotels, airplanes, other public places have

You can buy a charging plug and USB-C to lightning cable on Amazon. I have several.
