Assuming BYU loses to Boise and USU (Both will be favored, probably big)
We will have started 2-2 as we all could hardly picture preseason, and fall to 3-5 once the G5 slate hits. That would be inexcusable. For Kalani to start 2-2 this team HAS to hit 4-4, and HAS to make it to 8-4. Inconsistency is the name of the Sitake game.
You have a team capable of beating USC and traveling to SEC territory and winning. BYU is good enough, with or without Wilson/Williams, to be a 10-2 team this season after that start. While that is unrealistic, a 9-3 season really should have and could have been a reality this year with this schedule.
If we fall to 3-5, as we likely will, it will be unforgivable. It would be 100% on the coaches because these players have already shown what they are capable of.
