Ivy League football is really an extended high school football.
I’m a graduate of Dartmouth and attended many football games when I was there. It truly is not much different than upper division high school. And yes—-there are teams in Utah that would give Ivy League teams lots of trouble. High level teams from Florida or Texas would beat them consistently
Generally guys who really want to play football don’t go to Ivy League schools. Guys who play football at Ivy League schools are there for the education and play football because they loved it in high school and want to extend their playing time a little bit. But very few of them are big enough, fast enough or athletic enough tengo much further.
As an example, as of November 2018 there were 15 Ivy Leaguers in the NFL out of 1,696 on NFL rosters. .
Seriously-watch one of the games on ESPN+. You’ll see what I mean.
