BYU is scoring an abysmal 22.3 ppg this year. BSU is scoring 37 ppg this year. Based on the number of points they average per quarter against their opponents and BYU's as well, here is how I see the game going down on Saturday.
Q1 Score:
BSU: 7
BYU: 7
Q2 Score:
BSU: 21
BYU: 14
Q3 Score:
BSU: 31
BYU: 21
Q4 Score:
BSU: 34
BYU: 21
BSU scores their most points per game this year during Q2 and Q3. This is where I think BSU will separate itself from BYU and then will cruise to the win in the 4th Q.
BYU in the 2nd half averages 9.5 ppg (not including the OT points). That is where BYU will lose the game as they have the others this season. They will keep pace with BSU in the first half and then putter out and score 1 TD in all of the 2nd half.
On the Defensive side, BSU is allowing 19.5 ppg scored by the opposing team. BYU is allowing 30.5 ppg scored by the opposing team.
I really hope I am wrong on this and that this post does not age well, but this is who BYU is right now and unless the coaching staff makes some MAJOR changes on both sides of the ball, this will most likely be the ending result.
GO COUGS!!!
