reason I remember it being a lot more money than that - like 9 million or something. Of course, I recognize that the $4 million payment is on top of the 2 something million that they give to the participating team to cover their costs.

Of course $4 million is a nice amount of money, especially for G5 and independent teams.

But that amount does not seem enough to be a compelling reason to go back to a G5 conference.
