It would have been so easy to grab it then. Instead I procrastinate, wait until the first freeze dips down from the plains, and I get a harsh reminder that a light jacket or sweater is useless when cold marries humidity.

3 Home Depots later I finally found one with stock left. There were several others either carrying theirs to the register or fast walking around the aisles looking for the box of covers. 4 of us found the box at the same time and gave the competitive glances of “they’re mine... I saw them first”.

Fortunately there were just enough for us with a couple to spare.
