acceptable and think that fans that give context to a victory or loss are putting all their chess pieces into place to get upset. wrongo. I want context when we play teams like Idaho St. Otherwise the game is of no value because the outcome isn't in doubt. I would like to be pleasantly surprised just like I was after the Boise State and Utah State games, and look for every reason to be as a die hard BYU fan. I think I'd be happy if we score 50+, fine if we score in the 40's, slightly bothered if we score in the 30's although Utah only scored 31 on them (but shut them out), and an angry little elf if we score in the 20's. I think a 25+ point margin of victory would sit well with me.
Looking at how Idaho State performed against a lower level 2-7 SUU team actually provides some context to how terrible they are, so I'd like to see us take advantage of that a little and not squeek by. If SUU can beat them by 25, what can we do? I see it more like opportunity than getting ready to cry.
How would you gauge success against the mighty Idaho State Bengals?
