for YAC. 90% of his passes down field are hucked up and force the WR to adjust by spinning completely around, slowing down, completely stopping or even having to go to a knee. 125 of Baylor’s yards vs USU were to Lopini on screen passes. Baylor is a GREAT game manager but he hasn’t been tested by any good defenses nor did he have to suffer through the timid play calling of the first 4 games and the abrupt pass every play because our RB got injured style that we had vs Toledo. We have been way more balanced in play calling with Romney and Hall. Also the emergence of Finau and Lopini vs weaker defenses have had WAY more of an effect on the game than Ty’Son vs the P5 teams. Ty’Son is amazing but his 100yds only and no other backs doing anything made us very one dimensional.

Zach has the accuracy and poise to make all the throws. He beat Tennessee and USC. Much stronger defenses than Baylor’s opponents. Put our already amazing QB in a more QB friendly offense with 2 RBs that can run and catch and a defense that’s on fire getting takeaways and see what happens. Oh and against weaker competition when he is already one of the fastest BYU QBs to reach 1000yds passing
