Hypnosistad commented that the Jazz could do a lot worse than Conley so that got me thinking 🤔. I decided to look at the stats because what he said didn’t feel right. Conley seems just horrible most of the time, so knowing we may both be judging him off of emotion I decided to look at the stats.

Out of 50 NBA point guards Conley ranks 45th in PER

21st in points (only 2 point guards in the NBA who play as many minutes as Conley average less points so he’s right there with Patrick Beverly on offense and there isn’t anything you can say to put lipstick on that 🐷

Only 1 NBA point guard who is on pace to make 300 baskets shoots at a lower FG% than Conman.

22nd among NBA PG in 3Pt %

27th among PG in free throw percentage

29th in Rebounding amongst PG

27th in NBA in ASSISTS??!!!???

35th in NBA in block shots.

44th amongst NBA in Turnovers.

The Jazz could do worse than Conley at point guard, but no other point guard has a lower contract to production ratio in the league. He is bad. Mudiay is bad and his stats are better. Exum is probably better than Conley, Rubio is way better than Conley. This whole thing has been a con Job. Conley is a terrible match for this team. I agree with hypnotizedtoad that Conley has to dribble the ball around all game in order to find his Rhythm. That just won’t work for this team. His contract is terrible as well. Jazz should do whatever they can to unload him.
