Just use the Apple watch
Many apps available for this. Charge your watch 30 minutes before bed and while you shower/get ready in the morning. If you do that you won't have a battery issue.

You can get apps that do sleep tracking. Mine works through my apple watch

Fitbit Ionic is a fabulous watch. Looks much better too which is a bonus.
