So terrible. Every NFL team, coach, owner, and player knows from day one of training camp who gets in the playoffs has nothing to do with votes or polls or opinions or quality of schedule. It has to do with two things, win your division and you are in, and if you don’t win your division there are two wildcard spots available for the remaining two teams with the best record.

It’s simple, it’s fair, it removes any judgement or human error. It simply says this, the scoreboard will determine who makes the playoffs, and where those games are going to be played. Sure tie breakers happen, but every team knows today if they want to win their division and get a home playoff game, beat the teams that are in your division, especially if you want a home playoff game.
