This is why strength of schedule needs to matter with
The current playoff system. How is the committee really supposed to know how good a team is. Ideally the playoff would be expanded to at least 8 teams, or even to all conf champions so no one could just schedule soft and sneak in there.

Utah was exposed yesterday. Utah puts so much emphasis on D, that the O line is usually the weak point of their team. Oregon attacked Utah’s O line, loaded the box to stop the run and came after Huntley so he didn’t have time to throw. Other teams (including BYU) should take note of this when planning for Utah in the future. It was a terrific strategy by Oregon and shows why there are times a team needs to change up their game plan to beat another team. Oregon changed up their Offense a little bit as well to keep Utah’s D guessing and off balance.

I also loved how Oregon played Utah with a chip on their shoulder. They were tired of hearing how physical Utah was and how dominant there d was, yadda, yadda, yadda. Oregon was not intimidated at all but took it personally and really showed up and took it to them. Other teams should take note of this as well.

Oregon was totally ready for what Utah likes to do and it showed.
