that I noticed. At the USO event, the flag behind them had 49 stars, which would mean the date would have been somewhere between Alaska's statehood and Hawaii's. However, it was a Christmas event, and there wasn't a Christmas season between when Alaska and Hawaii became states - January of '59 and August of '59.
