MLB commissioned study concludes that uptick in home runs 60% attributed to seam height, 40% to launch angle
Will be interesting to hear the response from guys like Rob Arthur that have been tracking the drag coefficient and doing other studies on the baseball.
An MLB study has found that balls were not juiced during the '19 season. Instead, a decrease in the average seam height on baseballs led to a more aerodynamic ball that travels farther when hit. Also, players have adapted swings to create more power.
