“That’s why football is so successful, is if you do it and use resources at Clemson, like you can really keep everything tight,” [Clemson assistant basketball coach Steve] Smith said on the video wiretap, according to Matt Norlander of CBS Sports.

It will be interesting to see what the reaction is to these comments — they could be brushed off as simply hearsay by some, but Smith clearly indicates Clemson’s football success is due to keeping something “tight” in his statement. What exactly that is or if Smith was being truthful in his statement or not remains to be seen.
