From a driver perspective. The only slight benefit of Lyft was the no show fee was $2 higher if the passenger didn't show up within 5 min, although you had to jump through hoops to get it. Ubers was a bit less, but easier to get. Lyft's destination mode sucked and would often match you with a ride that would take you way out of the way you told them you were going, Uber's worked much better for me.
But honestly other than app UI (which were similar) they were basically the same, so I used whatever was busier and that was Uber 80% of the time.
