When we shot our 16th three, it was a 12-point game and we were 3/16 from deep. We had to start pressing on defense and the Zags pulled away.
If our guys were shooting at least their average at that point, they would have been 7/16 on 3’s, and it would have been tied. Even slightly below their average would have equated to a one-possession game and less transition chances for the Zags.
Yes, if they hit a couple more 3’s in garbage time it would have been the same result. But hitting their misses earlier in the game would have produced a different ballgame based on how the game flowed.
