I have a bad feeling that USU is in for a long season next year.
We had a future NFL quarterback (time will tell if he sticks in the league, but he will get drafted) and completely wasted that opportunity.

I was skeptical but hopeful when Gary was re-hired as head coach. It just seems like it's very difficult to duplicate results from years past. And he just didn't look the same this year. The fire that was contagious seems long gone.

The results for the year are also not encouraging. USU looked good in a close loss at Wake Forest. The Aggies won @ San Diego State. But those were the high points of the season. Lost badly to LSU, but I guess they were OK this year. But anyway, in the games leading up to BYU things were looking bad. The BYU game just confirmed what those who had been watching closely feared. This team wasn't very good. The frightening part is we got worse as the year went on (i.e. as the team moved further away from Matt Wells and further down the road with Gary Andersen V2).

Sheesh, I was feeling fine today till I started writing this. It's all good though, the MWC will scare off Boise State and then we'll be in great shape!
