The North Salt Lake locations has also closed. I was a busboy there in the 80's.
I always liked VI's breakfast better than IHOP and Black Bear Diner. Definitely better than Denny's.
My preference would always be for a mom-and-pop diner like Sill's or Park Cafe, but VI was my favorite of the chains.
And not because of my former employment. My memories from the 80's were of emptying ashtrays, coffee grounds, and picking up after messy kids.
