The articles I read when it was first announced that Kobe died in a crash said
the heli had a fire onboard then crashed. Was there radio communication about a fire on board? Eye witness of it falling in flames? Other than that would they know that information that early on?

I know you can probably determine that after an investigation, but how would you know without the above information which I haven't seen reported. With an aircraft crashing from great heights and full of fuel it is likely that there will be some fire involved at minimum after impact, so its not like they made the determination after seeing the wreck and saying well it was burnt so that means fire brought it down.

Anyone else heard anything about a fire?
