don't know what the saw or heard because they don't understand how a helicopter works and the sounds it makes when switching gears and rotor speed for approaches etc...that's my guess. Nobody knows, I mean it could have simply run out of gas. But the photos show that fog was very, very dense and disorientation is very easy very fast.
