My post was more a comment on how the tiniest of differences results in a wide swing in perception and narratives. And it definitely does. We were one tiny difference on any one of a number of plays away from big disappointment and heavy criticism. Instead, the team gets praise.
Andy Reid wasn’t a better coach this year than last. Dee Ford lining up in the neutral zone cost the Chiefs the AFC Championship. Shoot, change the coin toss result in OT and the Chiefs may well have won that game. Last year the narrative was how Reid couldn’t win big games.
I say he isn’t better this year. He did just as well last year as this year with respect to what he could control. This year more of what he did not control went his way.
