like the so-called “negativity” with playing more games often is overstated. I’ve found several situations where teams who have just played a game or had more recent games than a team a more focused and in rhythm, whereas teams with long rests seem to lose a step. They may be healthier but they’re off. Bye weeks in football have always worried me, long periods without games do so in basketball. Obviously, 3 games in like 4 days, like some tournaments require of some teams would be more detrimental but I’d prefer at least some games inserted into that 16 day period.
