A drug is rampant and people begin to die and around the 7 year mark there is a shift to another drug because the drug that killed people is scary. Then the cycle starts with the new drug and by the time that cycle ends the people forget that the previous drug was bad its use grows.

Having a brother and father who have struggled with addiction for a good portion of their lives is maddening. It breaks my heart.
