Lots of guys who are steals leaders are often not very good on defense. Going for the steal takes them out of position often, which leads to easy baskets. Those easy baskets often offset the steals.


But Jackson was smothering on defense. He simply had eyes like a hawk, superb anticipation, and very lengthy arms.


Now, if only he hadn’t started double clutching his three shot mid senior year.
