Selection/seeding is reliant on results. Look at results based metrics like KPI where we have been rated lower all season.
We’ve had a bunch of close losses which don’t hurt our predictive metrics, but they don’t add anything to our resume in terms of results. Our team is better than our resume shows. We’ve been one of the more unlucky teams that way —3OT losses etc.
It’s why a team like Auburn can be ranked in the 30s in KenPom, but be projected as a 3-4 seed, their results have been better than their team—lucky so far.
